The Erlenmeyer flask is designed with a wide base for stability, and is named after the German chemist Emil Erlenmeyer (1825‐1909), who created it in 1860. The tapered sides and narrow neck of this flask were designed to allow the contents of the flask to be mixed by swirling, without risk of spillage. The specific shape also means evaporation of the contents is reduced - which means your flowers won't run out of water!
All our glassware is genuine scientific labware, made from high-quality borosilicate glass. You can see the quality in the high optical clarity, low distortion, symmetry, and fine graduation marks. Not available in shops!
This glassware was found languishing in an old storeroom, waiting to be unpacked and used, but scientific methods evolved and the glassware became obsolete, destined for landfill. What The Fox as able to rescue this beautiful glassware and give it a new purpose.
All our scientific glassware items get a special spa treatment before going on sale: a relaxing bubble bath with medical-grade disinfectant to make them super clean and shiny; a refreshing rinse in cool water; and a gentle buff with a fluffy towel to make them feel brand new again!
